Holzmuehl
lies in the valley of the Bibersbach (beaver-brook) and has
about 30 inhabitants. Most are farmers.
The founder of the village is Albrecht Nothaft von Thierstein. Already before 1368 he ordered to build six farms and a mill. This mill was modernized several times and worked till 1958.
